FREE TECHNICAL SEMINARS TO BE HELD AT 2007 GRAND NATIONAL
A series of technical seminars will be offered for the first time at the 2007 Grand National Meet in Savannah, GA. The three FREE seminars will be conducted by CLC Technicians on Wednesday, August 1, 2007. All members and guests registered for the Grand National are invited to participate. You can sign up for any or all of these seminars on the Grand National registration form. Grand National name badge required for admission. Bring your questions, share your ideas and enjoy discussion of the topics listed below.

2:00 PM to 2:45 PM The Flathead Engine (1936 - 1947) Presented by Jack Hoffman No Charge
This technical seminar will include a description of the 346 ci engine used from the mid-thirties through the mid-forties including disassembly, cleaning and inspection of components, special tools required, assembly and starting of the rebuilt engine. Some of the special tools required for working on the engine will be demonstrated. A list of suppliers who still furnish gasket sets and other parts useful in the rebuilding process will be distributed.
3:00 PM to 3:45 PM The First Generation HydraMatic Transmission (1941 - 1955) Presented by Jack Hoffman No Charge
This technical seminar will include a description of the first generation HydraMatic transmission used in Cadillac automobiles, including operation, and adjustment. Some special tools required will be shown as well. Jack will also furnish a list of suppliers still furnishing parts for these transmissions.
4:00 PM to 4:45 PM The Automatic Leveling System Introduced By Cadillac in 1965 Presented by Lars Kneller No Charge
This technical seminar will include general principles of operation, common problems, adjusting the standing height, rebuilding the vacuum-operated pump and sources of the most often needed parts. Be aware that this is not a discussion of the short lived air suspension system used on 1958-60 Cadillacs.
