1976 Eldo, turn signal switch removal.

there is a rectanqular plate where the screw that holds the switch arm on would normaly be. appears to be no way to remove the arm

The arm unscrews.  At the base you will see a flat spot for a wrench or pliers.  What you have to watch out for is breaking your cruse control wire when you unwind it.

The Workshop Manual is very specific in describing the removal and replacement of the arm.

It mentions that the arm takes 6 turns to remove, and when replacing, the wire has to be wound on 6 turns before attempting to re-install.
