Need one small brake spring
« on: December 03, 2009, 05:54:46 AM »
Hello,
Does anyone have an extra small brake spring like the one shown in the attached photo?
I am ready to install brake sets but missing this spring.
Thank you,

to get correct spring-you should specify
year/make of car
front or rear
left or rt side--sometimes could be a factor

I know and I had even called them, discussed the car, and gave them all the data. The Series , year. model and everything is even on their Invoice.

Ty,

I think Bill meant that you should tell us what kind of car it is so we can help you. Bill might have one in his salvage yard if he new what car to look for.

Here's a '37 LaSalle being parted. The springs might be the same.

Ty,
Are you referring to the very smallest spring in the picture?  I believe that is the one that hooks onto the center or middle of the secondary shoe and then connects to the stamped sheet metal post located at 3 oclock on the backing plate.  If so, let me know if that is the one you need and I'll check my brake parts inventory.  According to my master parts book, if that is the spring, it is the same for your '37 as it is for my '40.  Let me know and I'll check for you.

I thought the very same thing Forrest so I checked all of mine only to find the 50 and 60 series springs are completely different from Ty's.
