Hello Doug,  I cannot tell you where the after market grill was obtained originally.  This after market grill, was included with many other '40 LaSalle parts, some rebult and re chromed, when I purchased my '40 LaSalle, Series 52, convertible sedan, body #8 of 75 built.  The car and all the extra parts, (yes, included are two original '40 LaSalle grills, which would make one complete grill including script,) for $17,500.   Joe
