What a shame, the Cadillac's hood and chrome still shines, looks salvageable from the front.

That sucker is cooked. Cars in that type of fire are rarely salvageable. The metal is shot from the heat and will begin to rust almost immediately because all the oils have been boiled out of it. The bumpers might be the only usable parts. Maybe the trans and engine depending on how hot they got.

Boiled out? Tehre´s no oil in sheetmetall, only a thin layer when it comes from the factory that have to be washed off before its painted.
The reason it rust is becuse the acid fumes when the interior burns. Anyway, the car is a partscar, look at the rearfender, looks like a thick layer of bondo burned off....
