For Sale: 1954 - 55 - 56 Power Window Motor - Reconditioned.

I work on AC electric motors so this was not a hard repair for me to do - disassemble, clean, test armature and field coils, true the commutator, buff the housing a little and reseal the exterior.  All of this for $100.00 plus shipping and insurance.

It is not NOS but it beats the condition it was in when I took it out of the car.  In fact, to brag just a wee bit - it looks mighty fine and purrs like a kitten in both directions.  Gear is in excellent condition - no bad teeth and lubed with synthetic oils and greases.

If you have some SLOW windows, this will be of great help and with new run channel felts and good wiring, the window will zip up and down much like they did when new.

I can recondition your A/C, heater, window, seat, trunk motors as well as long as there are no missing or broken parts for $40.00 each plus shipping and insurance.

Look at the photo - ask questions - I have more photos of this unit from various angles and flipped over.

I need to raise a little money to buy me a good DC amp meter.

I don't remember the side it was intended for but I can find the out - It fits rear windows as well as the front windows.

Nice photo and nice job, Ron. I will add you to my list of vendors. I'm sure many of us with fat fingers attempt to do this ourselves with limited success, so it is always good to know we can be rescued! Thanks for the posting.

Diff view of same window motor - still need to sell it and the other one I have listed.

Winter is over and you will need to get those windows down for some fresh spring air.

Why buy one that has not been reconditioned for 30 to 40 bucks if your investing the time to do the job?  No core charge so you can keep your old one as a spare or you can rebuild it yourself and recoup your cost.

Hello Ronald,
My last message was ruined when I hit the wrong key. Do you rebuild power window motors when club members send them to you and what do you charge. Thanks.
