Just wondering the tightening specs on the rear axle for a 39 LaSalle.

ROBERT,Are you speakjing of the nut on the  end of  the axle. If the annswer  is yes . It's as tight as you can get it..JIM

Adding to what Jim said, the nut must be torqued to 280-320, if you have a torque wrench that reaches these values, otherwise follow Jim's advice religiously.
