1960 Eldorado cooling shroud / fan blade

Are there any problems with installing the stock fan shroud and 7 blade fan on a non air conditioned car ? I think for summer cooling , that the a/c shroud set-up will move a lot more air . Any advice will be appreciarted . thanks    btw - my car does not have a/c .

In my opinion, the cooler you can keep an old engine like that, the better.

I put a 6 blade fan and a '56 Buick shroud on my '56 and it stays cooler in traffic than it used to. Make sure your vacuum advance is up to snuff. Timing advance at idle helps keep the engine cool.

1956 calls for 17* advance at idle provided by the vacuum. The crap-assed replacements sold today as "correct" only advance 11*. Something to check on.

Adding a 7-blade fan shouldn't be an issue but in order to fit the factory fan shroud you are going to have to use an a/c radiator which installs in front of the radiator support.
Embrace the past, grasp the future.

Is the radiator from an a/c car a direct bolt in ?
