How do I add a link to my post?
« on: May 03, 2007, 11:45:07 AM »
Because of spam issues you must be registered in order to put a link in your post.

We've all seen the ebay auction number with no link provided.  Well with this help everyone should be able to post a link to any webpage.

The easiest way is to copy and paste from the address bar.  If you look at the first picture you will see that I have circled the address bar.  If you click once in that address bar it will highlight the address as seen in the second picture.  At this time you may copy that address either using the edit menu at the top, by right clicking the highlighted address, or by holding down CRTL while hitting C at the same time.

Now we just have to paste the address bar where we want.  Once you have your cursor where you want the link just paste by using the edit menu, right clicking, or hitting CRTL V on the keyboard.

PS - But you say you don't have an address bar.  Just read the next post.

Some people have their address bars turned off like the first picture below.  That sure makes it hard to copy and paste from it.  We're going to have to find another way of getting the link.

First hit the back button to go to the previous webpage.

In the second picture below you see the previous webpage and I have right clicked on the link to the page I want to put in my post.  Now I just choose Copy Shortcut and then I can paste just like stated above where ever I wish.
