subject line information

I am interested in reading want ads and technical info relating only to my year of automobile.  (37 LaSalle)  It would be much easier and convienent for members to zero in on their specific interest area if members put the specific year(s) the subject mater deals with in the subject line.  To me it seams like a no brainer.  Possibly the webmaster could program the system that required a vehicle year to be at the front of all subject lines.  Just a suggestion!

G'day Chick,

Go to the top line, and there you will see:

*  CLC Home | Forum Home | Help | Search | Admin | Profile | Logout

Click on the "Search" and then type in your keywords on the line, and presto, everything posted that contains those words will appear.

Chic,

This request has come up previously, but I'm not prepared to modify the forum to accomplish it.

The reason is that for every custom change made to the forum, and we have several now, it makes upgrading to subsequent versions of the forum software that much more difficult.  The change you are suggesting would be substantial, in my opinion, and I want to keep the forum as simple as possible to maintain.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I think Bruce's idea is the way to go.

Its amazing how some people will spend hours going through a dirty filthy oily greasy junkyard looking for a left handed 1943 Johnson rod, but don't want to spend a few extra minutes in the comfort of their home looking for info on their particular car.... :o :o :o
