There are some really stunning green colors out there......how about a sweet green color that isn't exact but still keep the flavor? I love green cars, especially if there is some gold in the color. There are even better green's than this car but I found this easily on the net.

I'm a little more of the rocker type.....classic rewind, boneyard, spectrum, 70, 80's on channel 7 & 8, etc, etc. I seem to jump all around these days as I notice the individual channels seem to play the same stuff over and over....why do radio station do that? drives me nuts......one the best stations I'd ever hear was when I was in Vancouver, BC.  Wish I could find that station now.

I think the flat ones are for cars equipped with fog lights.

On my Series 62 Coupe I had flat glass lenses, on my Coupe Deville and a series 62 sedan I bought a new bumper off of, they had cone shaped plastic lenses. Whats the deal with this? Was it part of an option group?

That guy doesn't know what he's talking about.

You need to put the kibosh on that hogwash.

GM never defaced its top of the line model and sold it "Sans Fins"  What would have been the point in that anyway? Check some '57 sales literature if you need more convincing.

Next time you see that goofball from Melbourne, set him straight.

It would be quite easy, I'm sure, to see the patch welds on the inside of the quarters in the trunk.

Just a "Clicking" noise indicates to me that the Solenoid isn't pulling the Bendix in hard enough.

When the Solenoid is working correctly, there should be a very loud "Clicking" noise as the Slenoid is moving a distance as it pulls the Bendix into contact with the Ring Gear on the Flywheel.

This noise isn't generally heard as just before the Bendix is fully pushed into contact, the contacts at the other end of the Solenoid is creating the Electrical Contact to start the Starter Motor turning.

Sounds to me like either a bad Ground, or a bad electrical contact in the Positive Cable, or a flat battery.

Yes the front fenders are the same. GMMPB confirms that all are the same except series 75 and Commercial Chassis.

I notice in the Pertronix instructions that Jose posted that it says to connect a 20 gauge wire from the positive coil terminal to the chassis (for a positive ground car).  20 gauge may be adequate electrically, but not mechanically.  Given the harsh conditions in an engine compartment (heat, vibration, potential for mechanical damage), a minimum of a 16 gauge wire should be used and be taped or tie-strapped to other harnesses.  A 16 gauge wire has a heavier conductor as well as  heavier insulation.  I'm a retired OEM electrical engineer and this is what my company did.

Are the front fenders all the same dimensions  for all models? I have a 1955 fleetwood and am considering replacing one, and want to be sure that it will work; even if not off another Fleetwood. Thanks in advance. G
