All About The Web

CLC President Dave Ritchie recently asked me to write a message to the membership telling you all about myself and what I do for the Club. Let’s jump right in!

I’m Peter Gariepy and am the CLC’s webmaster. I’ve been a car fanatic virtually my entire life. My current daily driver is a very original 1978 VW camper van. My current project car is a 1903 curved-dash Oldsmobile replica, built in 1951. For many years, my daily driver was a 1960 Sedan de Ville, which my kids still fondly remember.

I’m an extremely active member of the Antique Automobile Club of America at both the local and national level, as well as being a senior master judge and their lead moderator and system administrator for the AACA Discussion Forums.

As a web developer and marketer, I maintain websites for several businesses and organizations, including the CLC, the Buick Club of America and many other smaller national and regional car clubs. As your CLC webmaster, I build, manage and maintain the following websites and services for the Club:

The Club’s primary website serves two purposes:

  1. It provides Club information to entice new members to join the Club and tools to join instantly; and
  2. It provides existing members the ability to renew instantly and access to information exclusively for CLC members.

Members must log in to get access to member-only features of the website. Go to the CLC site and click “sign in.” There are instructions on how to log in on the sign-in page. Once logged in, go to the “Member Only” and “Technical” menus to see exclusive content for CLC members, including:

  • The Membership Directory;
  • Member search tools;
  • Judging documentation;
  • Profile management, including change of address and list of your cars;
  • The Club Store, including Authenticity Manuals and other merchandise; and
  • Access to more than 100 back issues of The Self-Starter is also available to those with a proper membership type.

The CLC’s very own discussion forum. Its primary purpose is to provide members a way to buy and sell Cadillac- and LaSalle-related cars and parts and a virtual place to just “kick the tires” and enjoy camaraderie with like-minded car fans. It contains more than 270,000 posts read by thousands of people every day.

The online photo gallery contains more than 6,000 Cadillac-, LaSalle- and Club-related photos in more than 100 albums.

A place to find up-to-date new and antique Cadillac-, LaSalle- and Club-related news, events and photos.

A place to find Cadillac-, LaSalle- and Club-related videos.

I also assist CLC Regions and Chapters with their own websites, and provide tech support to members, including log-in help, how to manage their memberships, instructions on how to post photos and moderating the forums and social media. I’m happy to help you, too; just email me at or call me at (520) 247-5918 Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. MST.

It’s an honor to be your webmaster.
